Seven people were reportedly injured when Al-Shabaab militants hurled mortar shells outside the federal parliament premises.
The mortar shell attack took place on Monday, April 18.
At the time, newly sworn-in lawmakers were holding a joint session.
The lawmakers had just agreed to hold elections for the Speakers and Deputy Speakers of both chambers of parliament when the attack took place.
Seven people were injured in the incident.
Lawmakers from the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) immediately left the chambers where they were holding their joint session.
According to sources, the lawmakers were meeting at Villa Somalia.
