Several Jubbaland troops have accompanied President Ahmed Islam Mohamed Madobe to Galmudug where he is expected to meet with other regional leaders.
The plane carrying Madobe and his security team departed early this morning.
President Madobe left Kismayo on his journey to Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug State, where the meeting between all the leaders of Federal Member States (FMS) is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
Jubbaland Special Forces accompanied Madobe since they are responsible for his security.
Madobe has not been seeing eye-to-eye with President Mohamed Abdullahi Madobe of Somalia.
Differences between the two leaders have played out publicly and roped in members of the Somali National Army (SNA) and Jubbaland forces, who recently clashed in Gedo.
