Shabelle River Rises Beyond Highest Flood Risk Threshold

Shabelle River has risen to dangerous levels.

A report from the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources indicates that the level of water at Shabelle River is currently 8.97 meters.

It has gone over and beyond the threshold of 8.5 meters.

Consequently, the ministry fears that the risk of floods in the areas around Shabelle River is quite high.

Further, it warned residents to exercise caution by staying away from high risk regions.
