Six Killed in Roadside Explosion in Mogadishu

Six people were killed in a suicide bomb attack in Somalia’s capital of Mogadishu on Tuesday, November 17.

Security sources informed the press that the incident took place near General Kahiye Police Academy, which is in Hamar Jajab District.

According to the sources, the suicide bomber seemed to have targeted the police academy.

Instead, the suicide bomb exploded when he was next to the police academy thus killing at least six people in the process.

The identity of the person or group responsible for the attack remains unclear.

This week’s attack follows one that took place last week, which targeted Duran Farah Ahmed’s convoy at KM-4 Junction, Mogadishu.

Duran Farah Ahmed is the Minister of Labor and Social Services in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
