SNA Celebrates 61st Anniversary

The Somali National Army (SNA) is celebrating the 61st anniversary of its founding today.

SNA was established on April 12, 1960.

It was created around the time when the East African nation was gaining its independence from colonialists.

On Monday, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble congratulated SNA on its anniversary.

In his statement, Prime Minister Roble reminded SNA soldiers that they form the backbone of the national defense.

He also called the soldiers “heroes and heroines” for always being prepared to stand up and defend the nation against its enemies.
