General Mohamed Tahalil, the commander of the Land Forces of the Somali National Army (SNA) has stated that new soldiers will participate in the ongoing anti-terror operations.
Gen. Tahalil was speaking when he visited SNA soldiers in Middle Shabelle’s Run-Nurgod town on Saturday.
He added that most of the SNA soldiers trained in Eritrea have already returned home.
The Eritrean-trained officers have been training in Eritrea for the last couple of years.
Over the last few weeks, the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has facilitated their return home to join local operations.
They are not set to join their colleagues in counterterrorism fights in various parts of the country.
