Somali National Army (SNA) personnel were in a town in the regional state of HirShabelle to distribute foodstuff to drought-stricken families.
The government troops distributed the foodstuff to the families in Buloburde town.
The food distribution exercise took place on Wednesday, September 14.
HirShabelle is one of the worst hit regions by the ongoing drought in the East African nation. Its towns, such as Buloburde, have a high population of people in need of humanitarian assistance.
