Somali National Army (SNA) killed over 100 Al-Shabaab militants in an operation carried out in Galgadud.
The operation took place on Friday.
Adala Abdirahman, the Deputy Minister of Information, confirmed these numbers while speaking to the media.
He added that SNA, working closely with international security partners, recovered several weapons from the terrorists.
According to the deputy minister, most militants opted to flee the scene.
