An officer with the Somali National Army (SNA) has called Al-Shabaab “weak and cowards” for killing and injuring innocent civilians.
First Lieutenant Hassan Ibrahim of SNA’s Gorgor Special Forces hit out at the terror group during an interview with the media.
He was speaking to the media on Tuesday.
His comments came shortly after members of the elite unit liberated Masjid Ali Gadud, a village in Middle Shabelle, from the grip of the terrorists.
“If they are men enough, the Al-Shabaab militants should face off with SNA instead of targeting innocent civilians,” Lt. Ibrahim said.
He added that SNA troops would eradicate terrorists from all parts of the country.
