On Saturday, the Somali National Army (SNA), in collaboration with local Ma’awisley militias, successfully repelled coordinated attacks by Al-Shabaab militants on military positions in Awdhigle (Lower Shabelle region) and Buursha Sheekh (Middle Shabelle region).
The confrontations resulted in significant casualties among the militants.
In a separate operation, SNA forces targeted an Al-Shabaab gathering in Laba Garas (Middle Shabelle region), inflicting heavy losses on the group.
This offensive is part of a broader military campaign aimed at weakening Al-Shabaab’s presence in the region.
These developments underscore the ongoing efforts by Somali forces and allied militias to combat Al-Shabaab and stabilize the affected regions.
