Lt. Col. Muqtar Hassan Tifow awarded $5,000 in cash to Mohamed Malin on Sunday, November 27.
Malin, a local fighter, killed the head of the terrorist group’s extortion wing in Elbaraf, a village in Middle Shabelle.
Malin killed the head of the extortion wing last week.
He was part of the operations against terrorists that the military held jointly with members of the local community.
