Somali National Army (SNA) troops have seized a Galgadud district from Al-Shabaab militants.
The soldiers joined forces with locals to recapture Eldher, a district in Galgadud region, from terrorists in an operation carried out on Tuesday.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the federal Minister of Defense, confirmed the latest development to the nation.
Eldher is Galgadud’s second-largest district and town.
In the past 24 hours, the national army has taken back control of the town after getting rid of Al-Shabaab militants who terrorized it for a long time.
