A Somali National Army (SNA) soldier has killed a young man in Mogadishu.
The soldier killed Mohamed Abukar Turyare at the Sinai Junction on Monday.
Turyare has been identified as the cousin of former chief of Somali Intelligence, Gen. Abdirahman Mohamed Turyare.
However, reasons for his killing remain unclear.
The soldier who shot and killed Turyare escaped from the scene although security officials are began hunting him.
Meanwhile, Gen. Turyare mourned his cousin’s deaths saying, “I feel as if I have lost my first born son. I pray that Allah will have mercy on my brother Turyare.”
Turyare’s body is at the CID headquarters.
