Somali National Army (SNA) troops are currently battling terrorists outside the Halane Military Camp in Mogadishu.
Reports from the region show that militants attacked the facility a few moments ago on Tuesday.
According to witnesses, militants attacked the facility, forced their way inside, and began shooting indiscriminately.
Al-Shabaab claimed that its fighters were behind the attack.
SNA forces then made their way to the scene of the attack.
Halane Camp hosts several international organizations. For starters, African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has its offices at the camp.
The camp hosts United Nations and other international organizations too.
Security forces have arrived at Halane Camp to diffuse the situation before it worsens.
Currently, there are no details pertaining to the number of casualties or injured people from the Wednesday attack.
