Somali National Army (SNA) troops destroyed Al-Shabaab courts in Lower Shabelle.
Sources revealed that SNA troops carried out a military operation in Janaale town, Lower Shabelle on Tuesday.
During the operation, the government troops destroyed local courts that the Al-Shabaab militants operate in the region.
Houses that the extremists also use for extorting money from local residents were also destroyed in the April 19 operation.
Al-Shabaab has put Janaale under a stranglehold for years.
It’s not clear if any Al-Shabaab militant was arrested or killed in the operation.
