Somali National Army (SNA) troops killed seven Al-Shabaab militants in an operation in Middle Shabelle.
The government soldiers were conducting a military operation near Middle Shabelle’s War-Ise village when they encountered the militia.
The operation took place on Friday, May 27.
Reports indicate that the soldiers were able to seize money from the militants and a cache of weapons.
The terrorists are renowned for extorting money from local residents.
Two other terrorists were arrested in the planned security operation.
