Somali National Army (SNA) has appealed to Al-Shabaab terrorists to surrender with immediate effect.
Abdullahi Anod, a spokesperson of the SNA, issued the appeal when speaking to state media on Tuesday, October 19.
During his media briefing, Anod said that Al-Shabaab terrorists have been conscripting civilians for years.
He added that the terrorists have also been forcing teenagers and elders to join the group after suffering huge setbacks on the battlefield.
In recent times, SNA has been carrying out intense security operations against terrorists in different parts of the country.
Anod encouraged the terrorists to surrender as the government is ready to welcome them openly and warmly.
