The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has received a consignment of relief supplies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
SODMA officials were at the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu to receive tons of humanitarian supplies from the UAE on Monday.
Dr. Ahmed A. Adan, the Deputy Commissioner of SODMA, led his colleagues from the agency to receive the supplies.
Officials from the UAE Embassy in Mogadishu also attended the handing-over ceremony.
SODMA assured the UAE officials that the supplies would be distributed to needy and displaced persons in various parts of the country.
