The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) received a significant donation from the World Bank through the Somalia Crisis Recovery Project (SCRP) at its Mogadishu headquarters on Sunday.
The donation, which includes an ambulance and a fire truck, was highlighted by SoDMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim as an essential addition to the agency’s resources for responding to emergencies.
Commissioner Moallim expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing that these vehicles will enhance SoDMA’s ability to provide critical emergency services to the Somali population.
He reiterated SoDMA’s commitment to establishing emergency centers across the nation, ensuring timely and effective responses during crises.
This development marks another step toward strengthening Somalia’s disaster management infrastructure and improving public safety.
