The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) should hold an extraordinary meeting on the prevailing humanitarian situation in Somalia.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama issued this challenge to SODMA on Wednesday.
Jama issued the challenge when he held a meeting between various government departments.
Officials from the Office of the Prime Minister were at the meeting together with their colleagues from the agency.
Representatives from the regional Ministries of Humanitarian Affairs attended the meeting at Jama’s office.
Local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were represented in the meeting too.
Jama said that the extraordinary meeting will also tackle ways of preventing the diversion of aid funds in Somalia.
