Somali Air Force (SAF) celebrated its 61st anniversary on February 16 at its headquarters in Mogadishu.
The air force was founded in 1960 at roughly the same time that the country was getting ready to celebrate gaining its independence.
On Tuesday, several top officials from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) joined the air force personnel in celebrating the landmark anniversary.
Hassan Hussein Haji, the Minister of Defense, was among the distinguished guests who celebrated the anniversary with air force personnel.
