Somali Ambassador to Kenya Joins Nairobi Deputy Governor at 5th Annual Somali Night Awards

The Ambassador of Somalia to Kenya, Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, joined Nairobi’s Deputy Governor, Njoroge Muchiri, on Sunday evening for the 5th Annual Somali Night Awards, a vibrant celebration of Somali culture, talent, and community achievements held in the Kenyan capital.

The event brought together members of the Somali diaspora, leaders, and creatives to recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to society. Ambassador Jabril applauded the honorees, calling them “guiding lights for the next generation,” and praised the Somali community for its resilience, unity, and talent.

“The achievements we celebrate tonight are a reflection of the strength and potential of our people, especially our youth,” Ambassador Jabril said. “You are the bridge between our heritage and the future we aspire to build.”

Deputy Governor Muchiri echoed the Ambassador’s sentiments, reaffirming Nairobi’s commitment to supporting the Somali community and recognizing its integral role in the city’s social and economic fabric.

The annual event has become a cornerstone in fostering cultural pride, youth empowerment, and cross-community solidarity in Kenya.
