Halima Aden, a Somali-American supermodel, has joined the highly fabled Vita Coco as the Chief Coconut Officer.
The supermodel has come a long way to become a highly celebrated and much-sought after celebrity in the world.
She spent the first seven years of her life at a refugee camp in Kenya.
Now, she is set to serve Vita Coco as the firm’s global spokesperson while doubling as the advocate for the campaign.
Vita Coco specializes in producing coconut water.
It obtains farming communities in Sri Lanka and Philippines while providing opportunities to thousands of people to earn a living.
While accepting her appointment, Halima said, “I’m grateful for this opportunity to partner with brands that respect and share my values.”
The 22-year old supermodel moved to the United States when she was 7 years old.
