Somali and BNDF Intelligence Officers Strengthen Security Collaboration in Jowhar

Intelligence officers from the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) and Burundi National Defence Force (BNDF) troops trained under the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) convened at Jowhar Air Field for a high-level security assessment of HirShabelle State.

The meeting focused on evaluating emerging threats, including armed group activities and regional instability, while underscoring the critical need for enhanced intelligence sharing between the BNDF and Somali Security Forces (SSF).

Officials emphasized that closer coordination will improve counterterrorism efforts and bolster security operations across the region. This collaboration marks another step in strengthening the partnership between Somali forces and international allies in the fight against insecurity.
