Soldiers from Somali National Army (SNA) and Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) clashed along the border between the two countries on Saturday.
The clash started when KDF soldiers fired at civilians in Beled-Hawo town indiscriminately.
Witnesses have confirmed that KDF troops fired at them as they protested the killing and kidnapping of civilians in the region by Kenyan military.
SNA troops in the area responded by firing at the KDF forces in an effort to stop them shooting at the innocent civilians.
This prompted a fight to break out between them.
