Somali Cabinet Approves Energy Deal with Turkey

Somalia’s cabinet ministers have approved the energy deal that the country recently signed with Turkey.

During the weekly cabinet meeting held in Mogadishu, the ministers approved the oil and gas production agreement that Somalia and Turkey signed earlier this month.

Abdirisaaq Omar Mohamed presented the agreement to the cabinet in his capacity as the Minister of Petroleum and Minerals.

In his presentation, the minister highlighted the deal’s potential for unlocking the nation’s resource wealth while stimulating economic growth.
