MOGADISHU — The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji, presided over a welcoming ceremony today for 25 Somali children who recently returned from Italy.
The children have arrived back in the capital after receiving specialized cardiac medical care abroad.

During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Hormuud Salaam Foundation and the Italian Embassy in Somalia. He highlighted their collaborative efforts in arranging logistics and treatment for the children, who required complex medical procedures that could not be adequately provided within the country.
Successful Outcomes
H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji also praised the surgical teams involved for their compassionate and dedicated work in saving the lives of the young patients. He noted that all the returnees are demonstrating positive progress from their treatments and are experiencing gradual health improvements.
