Several Somali migrants are caught up in the civil war in Yemen.
According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), around 190,000 migrants from various Horn of Africa countries are caught up in the Yemeni war.
The migrants are unable to leave Yemen.
Many of those are from Somalia and Ethiopia.
A source from the Human Rights Watch (HRW) says that the migrants crossed the Red Sea to travel to Yemen.
Nadia Hardman, the HRW Refugee Specialist, says that the migrants only discover that Yemen is at war when they enter the country.
In January 2022, around 6,000 migrants arrived in Yemen from Ethiopia and Somalia.
Close to 1,000 of those were Somalis.
