Security forces in Somalia will pursue stronger military relations and cooperation with their counterparts from the United States.
This emerged on Wednesday when a team of US military personnel visited Brigadier General Odawa Yusuf Rage in Mogadishu.
Brig. Gen. Rage is the Somali National Army (SNA) chief.
The team from the US mostly featured military personnel who are currently either stationed or serving in Somalia.
The two sides discussed wide-ranging issues including the need to strengthen cooperation between Somalia and US military.
They also discussed the ongoing security operations against terrorists in Somalia.
