The Federal Government of Somalia has appointed a new Director for the country’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
On Monday, President Mohamed Farmaajo announced the appointment of Ahmed Moalim Hassan as the country’s new Director General of the CAA.
A statement from Villa Somalia indicated that Hassan has been the Acting Director General at the agency.
Consequently, he becomes the first person to occupy that office since parliament approved the Civil Aviation Bill, which President Farmaajo signed into law.
The two houses of the federal parliament – Upper House and Lower House – approved the Civil Aviation Bill recently.
