Dr. Ali Hajiadam Abubakar has been elected the Chairperson of the 70th Session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Eastern Mediterranean Regional Committee (EMRC).
Dr. Abubakar is the Somali Minister of Health.
Participants at the conference elected Dr. Abubakar to chair EMRC70 during Tuesday’s session.
He is to be assisted by Dr. Ahmed Abdille and Dr. Khaled AbdelGhaffar.
Dr. Abdille and Dr. AbdelGhaffar are the Djiboutian and Egyptian health ministers respectively.
