Tunis – Somalia’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Hajiadam Abubakar, participated in a high-level panel discussion on One Health in Tunis, Tunisia, bringing together health ministers from across the Middle East and Africa.
The panel underscored the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health in addressing emerging health threats.
Dr. Abubakar reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to a coordinated and inclusive approach to public health, emphasizing the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration to tackle zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and climate-related health challenges.
The event reflects growing regional consensus on the need for integrated health systems and stronger international cooperation.
