Somali journalists have been urged to share positive stories about the country.
On September 3, the Minister for Information told them that they have to share “positive images and messages” about the country with the rest of the world.
Osman Dubbe, the information minister, was speaking during a three-day training for journalists and social media influencers.
According to Dubbe, the country continues to make remarkable progress in many areas.
In his view, the media should focus on highlighting the progress made in the country.
The tourism and media training attracted over 40 participants from the government and private sectors. It also featured representatives from the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
