The Somali National Armed Forces, with the support of local militias, successfully eliminated 30 Al-Shabaab terrorists in an operation conducted in Mudug on Saturday.
Those killed in the military offensive included two key Al-Shabaab leaders, Mohamed Bashir Muse and Maadey Foodeey.
Military sources claim they undertook the targeted operation near Qaycad in the Mudug region.
This marks a significant blow to the terrorist group’s leadership and operations in the area.
The collaboration between the army and local communities is critical in combating the Al-Shabaab insurgency across Somalia.
