Somali Minister Thanks ATMIS Police for Selflessness in Guarding Government Facilities

A minister in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has thanked the African Union Transition Mission in Somali (ATMIS) police for their selflessness.

Specifically, Mohamed Bare thanked the ATMIS Police Unit for being selfless when protecting government installations around Somalia.

Bare is the federal Minister of Youth and Sports.

He expressed the government’s gratitude during a media interview carried out on Monday, August 22.

In the interview, the minister said that ATMIS Police have continuously helped Somali Police Force (SPF) whenever the need arises.

He went ahead to say that government facilities around the country are now safer owing to the steadfast commitment displayed by ATMIS towards their SPF counterparts.

ATMIS and SPF police officers routinely carry out joint patrols too.
