Somali ministers have donated their salaries for the month of October to support the ongoing operations by the army against the Al-Shabaab militia.
The Council of Ministers agreed on this when they held their weekly meeting on Thursday in Mogadishu.
Meeting under the leadership of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, the ministers agreed to forfeit this month’s salaries.
The Prime Minister announced that the salaries would be directed to the operations by the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) against the terrorists.
