Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimuu has called for strict action against legislators who skip parliamentary sessions.
Moalimuu, a member of the 11th House of the People (Lower House), spoke on this matter on Wednesday.
He was referring to the trend of many Members of Parliament (MPs) skipping parliamentary sessions.
Often, this habit leads to the postponement of some sessions.
Moalimuu, who was visibly annoyed, spoke to the media about the latest postponement on December 14.
Many legislators failed to show up for the session thus forcing the postponement of the day’s session due to a lack of quorum.
