The federal parliament of Somalia has endorsed the recently appointed cabinet.
The House of the People (Lower House) approved the entire list of individuals that Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre had appointed to join the new cabinet.
Members of Parliament (MPs) who voted to approve the appointees were 229.
Seven of the legislators voted against the list while only one MP abstained.
Consequently, the entire list of 77 cabinet ministers, deputies, and state ministers now await to take their oath of office.
Prime Minister Barre now has his government in place.
