Somali Police Force (SPF) officers have arrested 51 young people in Mogadishu.
A senior police officer confirmed this while speaking to the media in the nation’s capital on Monday morning.
The spokesperson said that police officers arrested the youths on suspicion of committing armed robberies around Mogadishu.
Lately, the nation’s capital city has been a den of all manner of crime.
Major General Hassan Abdi Hijaar, the SPF chief, has repeatedly warned criminals that the police would not relent.
Those arrested in the latest swoop would be presented to court soon.
