Major General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar convened an emergency meeting to discuss the ongoing counterterrorism operations in Somalia.
Maj. Gen. Hijar, the Somali Police Force (SPF) Commissioner, convened and chaired the meeting in Mogadishu on October 2.
Top security officials attended the meeting.
They paid tribute to some of their fallen colleagues, who include Brigadier General Farhan Qarole.
Brig. Gen. Qarole lost his life in a deadly incident that took place in the nation’s capital towards the end of last week.
At the time of his death, Brig. Gen. Qarole was the Mogadishu police commander.
Maj. Gen. Hijar led his colleagues in declaring that they would not relent until they vanquish all terrorists around the country.
