Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali Police Force (SPF) Commissioner, General Asad Osman Abdullahi, officially inaugurated the admission examination for the police officers’ leadership training program today. The launch marks a pivotal step in strengthening the force’s leadership capacity and enhancing professionalism across its ranks.
The admission process includes a comprehensive selection procedure involving written assessments, structured interviews, and simulated practical scenarios. These components are specifically designed to assess candidates’ problem-solving capabilities, leadership potential, and ethical judgment.
“This initiative is more than just training—it’s about shaping the next generation of police leaders,” said Gen. Asad Osman Abdullahi. “We seek individuals who not only excel in their technical skills but also possess the vision and integrity to guide their teams in serving our communities.”
The leadership program aims to empower promising officers with the knowledge, discipline, and strategic insight required to manage complex security challenges and strengthen community trust. The move aligns with ongoing efforts by the Somali government to reform and modernize the nation’s law enforcement institutions.
