Officers from Somali Police Force (SPF) seized 40kgs of marijuana in Baidoa town.
The SPF officers had carried out a security operation in the area when they encountered people smuggling bhang into Baidoa.
They arrested the individuals committing the crime.
Thereafter, they also seized the drugs.
Recently, SPF officers have been working closely with other government agencies to eradicate drug abuse in Mogadishu.
Drug use and abuse have been on the rise in the national capital for quite some time.
