A police officer who shot and killed a street vendor in Mogadishu has been sentenced to death.
The June 16 incident started when a 70-year old shopkeeper refused to receive torn money from the officer.
Omar Hassan Moalim, the street vendor, was then shot by the officer identified as a 29-year old Nur Dahir Gedi.
Officer Gedi shot Moalim in the head and killed him instantly.
A court in Somali has found the officer guilty of the offence and sentenced him to death.
