Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre of Somalia has reminded leaders of the importance of respecting the country’s laws.
Specifically, the Prime Minister addressed his remarks to cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), and commanders of the armed forces.
He also addressed all government officials.
“Our leaders have to follow the laws that the government has put in place,” Prime Minister Barre remarked.
“We must all learn to allow the police to do their work properly,” he added.
Barre reminded the leaders that their families and the entire country would only enjoy peace and security if the police are given leeway to do their job well.
