President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia addressed the closing ceremony of the Heritage Institute’s annual general meeting.
President Mohamud addressed the gathering on Tuesday.
He spoke a few hours after arriving in Djibouti where this year’s event is taking place.
In his address, President Mohamud mentioned the achievements of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) in the fight against terrorism.
In the last few weeks and months, the Somali government has ramped up military operations against the terrorists.
Further, he also told the forum about the plans that his government has formulated to reduce the impact of climate change in Somalia.
His speech also touched on the ongoing measures to mitigate the effect of the drought.
