President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has called for the complete and utter “uprooting” of Al-Shabaab forces from Somalia.
The President was speaking on Saturday as he kicked off his tour of two Federal Member States (FMS) to evaluate the progress of the ongoing operations against the terrorists.
He spoke while in Mahaas, a town in the Hiiraan region.
In his address, President Mohamud spoke of plans by the military and local communities in specific parts of the HirShabelle state.
President Mohamud hailed the plans to recapture areas such as Gal-Hareri, El-Bur, and Harardhere that are currently under the control of terrorists.
