President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has confirmed that Somali National Army (SNA) recaptured Adan Yabaal town from Al-Shabaab terrorists.
The town, which is one of the most strategic in Middle Shabelle, has been under the control of the terrorists for years.
This week, a joint operation by SNA and local fighters allowed the government to reclaim it.
On Tuesday, President Mohamud confirmed that the operation on Monday caused the terrorists to flee.
While fleeing, the terrorists forced other residents of the town to leave too.
Moreover, President Mohamud promised to send new pumps to replace the ones the terrorists removed from two wells while fleeing.
