Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud never discussed his country’s row with Ethiopia when he visited Nairobi.
The Somali President visited the Kenyan capital on Thursday at the invitation of President William S. Ruto.
On Friday, there were reports that President Ruto convinced President Mohamud to embrace a maritime treaty with Ethiopia to defuse the diplomatic row between them.
However, Daud Aweis has rubbished such reports.
Aweis, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, denied that the Somalia-Ethiopia row was on the agenda during President Mohamud’s meeting and discussions with President Ruto.
He added that Somalia remains committed to protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
