President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to visit one of the war zone towns in Somalia shortly.
Sources close to the President said that he will be in Mahad, which lies roughly 90kms to the east of Beledweyne.
Mumin Mohamed Halane, Commissioner of Mahad District, confirmed the President’s impending visit.
President Mohamud will hold talks with the military as well as local militias who are part of the troops fighting Al-Shabaab insurgents in the region.
