The President of Somalia held talks with the Chairperson of the Africa Union Commission (AUC) in Rome, Italy.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s meeting with Azali Assoumani took place on the sidelines of the ongoing Italy-Africa summit.
Mohamud and Assoumani, the current AUC Chairperson and the President of Comoros, discussed ways of improving bilateral relations between their respective nations.
They also dwelt on issues of mutual interest in the region.
According to Villa Somalia, President Mohamud and President Assoumani talked about the importance of upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of AU member states.
